BASKETBALL On Friday night the Tryon cagers posted two easy wins over the Campobello High teams in the Tryon gym. The Tryon girls scored 51 points to Campobello’s 13, with Glenna Hamrick scoring 24 for Tryon. Tom Arledge, with 23 points, led the Tryon boys to a 71-47 triumph over the Cam pobello boys. In both games Coach Prince cleared the benches in an effort to hold down the scores. Tryon Girls: (51): Hamrick, 24; Constance, 8; Hipps, 10; Moon; Edwards; Blackwell. Tuesday night in the Tryon gym the Tryon eagers entertain two strong teams from Flat Rock High School starting at 7. Last week the Flat Rock girls beat the powerful Saluda High girls, a team which had little trouble over coming the Tryon girls.—School Reporter. Carolina folk home from Chapel Hill for the week-end included Stephen Carroll Brady, Miss Mary Sanders and Mrs. John Washburn. State College folk home included Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore. Dr. John Koegle of Anniston, Ala., research chemical engineer for Monsanto Co., arrived in Tryon during the week-end for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart A. Koegle and to get his wife and son, Stuart Lynn, who have been visiting the Tryon Koegles. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Stephen son had as guests for the wdk end at their new home on Pac^^p Hill Farm, Mr. and Mrs. Brewer of Rye, N. Y. Mrs. Eliza beth S. Williams, who has been visiting the Stephensons has re turned to New York City. Mrs. R. A. Ellis of Salisbury is here with her father, L. A. Avant while Mrs. Avant is in the hos pital.
